PRICES ARE FOR LABOR ONLY (additional charge for parts, materials and strings)

Re-string $25

(for most six/seven string electric guitars, acoustic guitars, bass guitars) 

add$5 for floating tremolo, $10 for Floyd Rose or other locking type

INCLUDES:   remove existing strings, light clean up/oil fretboard (badly gunked up or dirty fretboard will incur additional charge which will be identified up front), general cleanup, install new strings, stretch and tune 

General Setup $70

(for most six/seven string electric guitars, acoustic guitars, bass guitars) 

Add $15 for 12 string, floating tremolo, Floyd Rose type trem, trus rod in heel and not readily accessible (i.e.vintage Tele)


INCLUDES: everything done in Re-string plus: inspection , tighten loose, screws, fasteners, adjust neck relief, adjust string action, adjust intonation, spot adjust up to 5 fret locations, adjust nut slots, de-oxidize pots (badly oxidized pots may need replacement), general cleanup (may not be don

Fret Level & Dress Add On To Setup $50

(typically recommended for badly worn frets or instruments that need more than 5 frets touched up to get rid of excessive buzz) 

  

INCLUDES: everything done in a General Setup plus; tape off the fretboard, protect the body near the fretboard, level the frets (precision work typically within a few thousands of an inch), re-crown the frets, dress fret ends, polish the frets

re-fret $300

(typically recommended when frets have been previously leveled and not enough   material is remaining to do another fret level properly. ) 

Add $85 for instruments with binding on the fingerboard
Add $85 for sideways fret removal 

INCLUDES:   Fret removal, replacement, level and dress, the fingerboard is also leveled prior to re-fretting (unless fingerboard is finished). The ideal time to correct a twisted neck (extra charge), change fretboard radius if viable(+$50), or change your fret type. 

Nut replacement $50

(for most six/seven string electric guitars, acoustic guitars, bass   guitars.  Typically needed after doing a fret replacement)

Add $10 for 12 string guitars

  

INCLUDES: existing nut removal, replace with choice of bleached bone, unbleached bone (slightly denser and a vintage look), black or white Tusq. New nut is hand cut.  Does not include cost of nut blank.

acoustic saddle replacement $55

  (for most acoustic guitars, Typically needed after doing a fret replacement)

 Add $20 for 12 string guitars

  

INCLUDES: existing saddle removal, replace with choice of bleached bone, unbleached bone (slightly denser and a vintage look),  Tusq. Does not include cost of the blank, or widening the saddle slot to accommodate a wider compensated saddle or changing the saddle position to improve intonation.

acoustic bridge re-glue $125

INCLUDES: identify cause of the loose bridge, remove the bridge, prepare surfaces and re-glue the bridge.  

Note: If excessive belly in the top is determined to be the cause, this will need to be addressed for a proper repair.  You will be apprised of this up front along with cost to fix prior to doing any work.  This often goes along with high action and improper neck angle.

install bridge doctor $50-75

(this can reduce belly and add stability to the top)

acoustic crack repair (per quote)

  (Re-string may be required)  

  

INCLUDES:  inspection for cause of cracking, humidifying the guitar (often the cause), clamping and gluing the crack together, gluing cleats (if necessary) to the underside to improve stability, applying a sealcoat or CA to the finish side. Finish touch up is not included, but may be available per quote. 

Headstock Repair: $75 base fee

 headstock still attached (Setup and nut replacement are often needed with a headstock repair) 

Add $25 if headstock is completely broken off
Add $75 if routing and installation of splines are needed (often done for short grain breaks, not all broken headstocks benefit from this)

INCLUDES: clean up of the crack area to ensure correct mating of surfaces, gluing the pieces back together and applying a clear coat or oil to the exposed wood for protection. When completed, the repair will be as strong or stronger than the original wood and not be readily noticeable to touch. Visibility can vary depending on the nature of the repair. 

neck re-shaping $275 - $350

Do you have a guitar with a neck shape that feels "Just Right" and another that you wish felt like that one?  We may be able to help there. An example would be changing a "U" shape to a "D" or "C" profile.

INCLUDES: measuring the target neck and the neck to be re-shaped, making neck profile templates, removing the necessary material and finish, applying clear coat or oil.  We set the guitar back up and have you check it out prior to applying finish.

(add $40 to re-fret the entire fingerboard extension)

· Cutting off epoxy attached neck and resetting as a bolt on $450 (not uncommon for 70's Japanese guitars)
